I wanted to start this off with something a bit personal.I’m a bloke in my 40s and to be honest, making new friends at this stage of life can feel a bit awkward. I’m not one for big social events or walking up to someone and saying, “Hey, do you wanna play golf?” It always feels a bit weird.But here’s the thing. Golf has been a game changer for me.
It gives me an excuse to get outside, clear my head, and connect with people without the pressure. Whether it’s sharing a laugh after a bad shot or walking the fairways talking rubbish, it’s been great for my mental health and sense of connection.That’s what this page is about.
It’s here to take out all the awkward stuff. You can simply post, “Anyone fancy a game this weekend?” Easy as that.I’m a member at Flagstaff Hill Golf Club in South Australia and I’m happy to offer to book us on there. Others can do the same at their home clubs. If I don’t have my regulars to play with, it’s always great to meet new people and have a hit.And it’s not just for men. This is for everyone.
